Cannes Weather

Cannes Weather - A fine year round climate
Cannes weather sees regular sunshine all year and can rightly claim to be one of France's warmest cities. In fact annually, sunshine averages at an impressive 7 hours each day ensuring visitors keep flocking to the city all year round. The clear waters around the Cote d' Azur remain warm enough for water sports enjoyment for most of the year. Rainfall can occur at any time of the year and usually follows a distinct pattern of light and regular showers during winter and much less frequent but heavy downpours in summer and autumn.

Weather in Cannes - Hot, dry and abundant sun
Summer days in Cannes and its neighbouring resorts along the Cote d'Azur coastline experience perfectly clear blue skies and mainly settled conditions that can produce high temperatures of up to 38c. These may prove oppressive to some visitors with a seasonal norm of around 26 - 28c. Cannes weather may see many weeks without any rainfall which will invariably be broken by a heavy and brief thundery downpour before returning fine and bright again. A typical summer day should experience 9 or 10 hours of sunshine.

Cannes Weather - Pleasantly mild winter sunshine
Off season city breaks in Cannes remain a good bet with continuing fine weather and mild daytime temperatures that only occasionally become chilly. A slightly exposed city, Cannes does receive strong Mistral winds during winter which will feel blustery and chilly and can persist for several days. While winter sunshine is frequent, many days will have a cloudy overcast appearance with instances of drizzly weather usually occurring in November and March. Cannes weather will see temperatures of 7 - 12c in winter and up to a credible 6 hours of daily sunshine.
