Channel Islands City Breaks

City Breaks In The Channel Islands
The Channel Islands are a group of islands within the English Channel, off the French coast of Normandy. Short breaks to the Channel Islands can take in any or all of  the five islands, Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, and Herm. A weekend break in The Channel Islands will allow you to take in all of the sights and attractions as they are fairly compact in size. The Channel Islands have a total population of about 160,000, whilst the respective capitals of Guernsey and Jersey alike, St. Peter Port and St. Helier have populations of 16,488 and 28,310. Because of its size, it is convenient for island hopping. Why just visit Jersey, when you can visit Guernsey too?

Channel Islands Weekend Breaks - Experience ancient customs
Take a city break in The Channel Islands and feast upon the spirit of Britain within the heart of Old Normandy. A long-weekend here will find ancient customs, modern shopping, inspiring beaches and laid back country living. The Channel Islands feast upon a pallet of variety with a rare fusion of English and French, ancient and modern, cosmopolitan and homespun.

Short Breaks In The Channel Islands - Each island has distinct character
The Channel Islands form a clutch of distinct islands, with characters all of their own. Jersey is perfect for a family city break with its rewarding family days out and thrilling activities - those looking for an historical break should take in the might of Mont Orgueil, a castle in Jersey overlooking the harbour of Gorey. Guernsey is around a third smaller than Jersey and it is a case of so close, yet so different! The main town of St Peter Port with its cobbled streets overlooks the harbour, castle cornet and the smaller channel islands of Sark and Herm.
