Cheap Short Breaks
The Internet and the increase in cheap flights, from budget carriers and major airlines, have made it possible to take a cheap short break almost anywhere. European cities such as Rome, Amsterdam, Dublin and Prague will always be popular for a cheap weekend break, but with 3-4 days to spend an increasing number of people are travelling further afield, some even as far as Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. Given that it’s only a few days, people will often fit more into a cheap short break than they would in a fortnight away, and the stay can seem much longer.
Cheap short breaks - Bringing the whole world closer
Europe remains popular for an inexpensive short break. Eurostar destinations such as Paris and Bruges, vibrant cities like Berlin and Barcelona, stylish destinations such as Cannes, Nice and Milan, and the Spanish cities, Madrid, Valencia and Seville are attracting more and more people. There is a definite trend towards going further, however. In Eastern Europe there are still historic cities such as Riga, Dubrovnik, Split and Ljubljana that offer excellent value, while half in Asia, surrounded by hills and divided by the Bosphorus, Istanbul is a spectacular short break destination. A cheap short break could even be somewhere like Dubai, which may have become a millionaire’s playground, but there are still good deals to be had, or Cape Town, with its magnificent waterfront and Table Mountain.
Cheap short breaks - Easy to plan, simple to book
What better place for a cheap short break than the city that never sleeps? It’s incredible how much visitors to New York can see and do in just a few days. The same is true of other US cities such as Boston, the capital of New England, Miami, with its beach, nightlife and art deco architecture, beautiful San Francisco and the truly incredible Las Vegas. There’s a long list of possible destinations, but planning and booking your cheap short break couldn’t be easier. You’ll find everything you need right here on this site.
