Copenhagen Weather
Copenhagen weather – Comfortable throughout the year
The city enjoys a consistently mild climate for most of the year with average temperatures usually between 9C to 15C. Grey skies are commonplace here, and like other Northern European cities, rainfall is unspectacular but spread evenly throughout the year with the wettest months in autumn; September and October. Due to the generally mild climate, Copenhagen is an attractive city break destination all year round. The most popular time is the peak summer season, which runs from May to August.
Weather in Copenhagen – Warm but not too hot
During the summer months, the average temperature hovers around a pleasant 20?C with long light evenings due to the city’s northern location. The common misconception that the area is generally cold and rather miserable is shattered during the warm bright summers. July is normally the warmest month with an average temperature of just below 20°C.
Copenhagen winter weather – Surprisingly mild!
A Copenhagen winter isn’t as cold as you may think! February is generally the coldest month with an average of just below 0°C. City break visitors during the winter months of January to March shouldn’t be surprised to see a snow shower or two so bring an umbrella and a warm coat. Picturesque Copenhagen looks beautiful throughout the year but particularly so in winter, especially with a covering of fresh snow!
