Eiffel Tower (Paris)

The Eiffel Tower has become a global icon and the most recognisable structure in France, if not the whole of Europe. Originally a temporary monument built for the 1889 World's Fair, it has stood proudly over Paris ever since as a shining symbol of the elegance and romance that Paris has always exuded. Unsurprisingly, at over 1,000 feet in height, it dominates the Parisian skyline and is the quintessential sight to see for cheap city breaks in Paris. The Eiffel Tower, known affectionately as the 'Iron Lady' is the most visited paid attraction in the world and every year millions of visitors head to its summit for breezy views across the city and beyond.
