Eurostar Tickets
When purchasing your Eurostar tickets, you can opt for one of three travel classes- Standard, Standard Premier or Business Premier. See below for a brief explanation of the benefits of each.
Standard
Standard Class does what it says on the tin- it offers a basic, no-frills journey to your European destination. It is the cheapest way to take the Eurostar.
You can check in any time up until 30 minutes before your departure time – so there’s no need to rush to the station and then be hanging about for ages. Eurostar offer an even faster checking-in option through their mobile phone app.
On the train there will be bar-buffets offering a selection of hot and cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as hot and cold snacks and more substantial, filling meals.
Standard Premier
A step above Standard is the Standard Premier Class, offering a significant range of added benefits. As with Standard class, you can check-in just 30 minutes before your departure time.
You can request a seat in a Quiet Coach at no extra cost when you travel Standard Premier Class. These provide a calm, relaxed atmosphere, ideal for those who need to get on with work on the train or those looking to catch an hours sleep or so. The quiet coaches are 8 and 11.
You will benefit from exclusive Standard Premier carriages, which have extra spacious, comfortable seats as well as complimentary newspapers and magazines.
As part of the price of your ticket, you will also be served drinks and a light meal at your seat. Before 11am this consists of breakfast pastries, yoghurt, tea or coffee and juice. After 11am the meal will consist of a selection of taster dishes, as well as a choice of coffee, tea, wine, beer or soft drinks.
Special meals (vegetarian, kosher, halal, vegan, diabetic, low fat, low salt and gluten free etc.)and child-friendly meals can be requested upon booking.
Business Premier
To truly travel in style, opt for Business Premier Class. This provides a host of extras perfect for those travelling on business or those who want to travel as comfortably and conveniently as possible. As with Standard Premier Class, you can opt for one of the Quiet Coaches, will have larger, more comfortable seats and complimentary newspapers and magazines.
You’ll have access to the Exclusive Business Premier Lounge, with complimentary bar and refreshments. There is also free wireless internet in the lounge, and you have the opportunity to book a taxi for when you arrive at your destination.
A fast track check-in service operates for Business Premier customers. Self-service machines allow you to print your tickets quickly and easily and avoid the queues at the ticket desk. A dedicated Business Premier check-in gate which closes 10 minutes before departure will then allow you to board the train.
Business Premier tickets are fully flexible for up to two months, so if your plans change at the last minute you can re-schedule your journey and not lose any money.
For added flexibility, a boarding guarantee is offered on all Business Premier tickets, which means that if you’re running late or need to travel on a different train on the same date of your booking, Eurostar will guarantee to find you a seat, even if Business Premier is full.
Business Premier customers also get a delicious three course meal served to them at their seat included in the price of their ticket. Meals have been designed by Michelin-starred chef Raymond Blanc, and come with a selection of drinks to choose from.
