Eurostar Trains

Trains
Eurostar pride themselves on having the most advanced fleet of trains in Europe, with levels of comfort and style unparalleled elsewhere on the continent. 

Their services operate on Class 373/1 trains which are 18 coaches long and run up to 186mph on a network of high-speed railway lines. 

Eurostar also prides itself on its green credentials, emitting a tenth of the CO2 compared to flying to their core destinations. 

Seating
You can have a look at the seating plan aboard the Eurostar here. There are two different types of seat available in Standard Class carriages.

Aisle and Window seats: These are a pair of seats next to each other, one next to the aisle, one next to the window, with 845mm leg room.

Table (Carré): These are two pairs of seats facing opposite each other around a table for 4, with 1840mm legroom per person. 

There are 4 different types of seat in Standard Premier and Business Premier Class carriages.

Solo seats: These are seats on their own, next to a window with a pull-down table. Leg room is 945 mm.

Twin seat: These are aisle and window seats next to each other with pull down tables and 945mm of leg room each.

Opposite (Club 2): These are a pair of seats facing opposite each other over a table, with 1935mm leg room.

Table (Club 4): These are 2pairsof seats facing opposite each other over a table for 4, with 1935mmleg room per person. 

Wheelchair Users
Those who require the use of a wheelchair travel in one of the dedicated spaces located in the Standard Premier and Business Premier carriages. A companion is allowed to travel with you at a discounted rate. It is important to note that there are only two wheelchair spaces on each train, so it is advised that you notify us at the time of booking if you need one. 

If you use a mobility scooter, Eurostar will let you take one with you on board in the train’s special luggage compartment free of charge. Scooters cannot be more than 1 metre in width in order to be able to access the platform and train ramps, and during peak times such as weekends, Bank Holidays and school holidays it’s advisable to notify Eurostar in advance that you intend to bring a scooter to ensure there’s space in the hold. 

Meals
Eurostar offer a variety of meal options on their trains which vary according to which class you are travelling in.

Standard: With Standard Class, you do not get food included in the price of your ticket, however you are able to buy snacks and more substantial meals at the bar-buffet on board. These include items such as sandwiches, pastries, crisps and chocolate as well as a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and hot beverages such as tea and coffee.

Standard Premier: Standard Premier customers have a light meal included in the price of their ticket, which is served to them at their seat. This comprises of a breakfast meal before 11am of pastries, yoghurt, coffee or tea and juice, and a selection of three taster dishes if it’s after 11am with hot drinks, soft drinks and wine or beer to choose from.

Business Premier: Business Premier customers benefit from a delicious three course meal designed by Michelin starred Culinary Director, Raymond Blanc. Customers can choose from the on-board menu and then wait to be served at their seat by staff. Complimentary soft, alcoholic and hot drinks are also included.
