Frankfurt Weather

Frankfurt weather - No surprises
Frankfurt experiences year-round mild weather, with weather extremes being fairly uncommon, and usually short-lived. The spring months of April and May, and the autumn months of September and October, are the best times for a city break – avoiding the busy conference season – when temperatures stay between 13°C and 20°C. Temperatures are not extreme and never severe.

Weather in Frankfurt - Nice and warm
Frankfurt can become rather hot and humid during the summer, often rising above 25°C on the sunniest of days and sometimes topping 30°C. On the balmiest evenings, the temperature can hover around 15°C and this is the sign for Frankfurters in the many restaurants and bars to spill out onto the pavements, particularly during June, July and August, the peak season. Frankfurt city break visitors should pack mainly lightweight clothes, but also a waterproof coat or similar, in case of an unexpected shower.

Frankfurt winter weather - Scarf and hat required!
Winter temperatures range between -10 and 10°C. The season falls between the months of November and February, with January being the coldest month, when daytime temperatures stay just above freezing and often fall below -3°C. Snow is likely during this time and windy weather can also make the climate feel considerably colder on occasion, adding a definite chill factor to the air! Wrap up warm if a winter Frankfurt city break is planned!
