Hen Weekends

These days there is no single way to have, or destination to go to for a hen weekend. More and more cities are frequented by groups on hen weekends - either those looking for a sophisticated short break with shopping in New York, or those seeking to let their hair down in the clubs and bars of Stockholm. Without an obvious convention, you can choose any destination from so many in Europe. So we’ve put together a list of a few that we think will inspire an exciting and fresh hen weekend. 
 

For a relaxing and luxurious hen weekend in a city that emphasises style and comfort, head to a destination like Seville or Copenhagen. Here you won't find the wild partying of some other European destinations but you will find great food, sophistication and luxury spa hotels where you can relax amongst the quiet calm of these interesting and varied cities. Seek out destinations that do group deals, if there are a number of you travelling, as you may find that you can splash out on a little extra luxury without any extra cost. However, if it’s a mix of the party atmosphere and something a little different then head to a destination like Prague or Edinburgh. Depending on what time of year you go you will find cities that are heaving with people, nightclubs and oodles of fun. Accommodation can range from the budget to the highest class and you won't be wanting for activities. Great clubbing scenes in both cities means you can let your hair down without spending a fortune.

 

To get the best city break deals on your hen weekend, emphasise to any hotel you are staying in that you are travelling as part of a group. Group discounts can be found on anything from taxis to restaurants so make sure you make the most of your money by purchasing as a group. If you want some spectacular bargains then travel outside of the conventional holiday periods, particularly in spring and autumn. For a holiday with a difference try one of the Scandinavian cities in winter, you may be able to combine staying in an Ice Hotel with partying in an Ice bar in Stockholm or Oslo.
