KUMU Museum – The finest art museum in the Baltics 
The Estonian Kunstimuuseum, to give it its full title, was an amazing 70 years in the making, delayed by both the Second World War and Soviet occupation. Finally built in 2006, it is the largest museum in the Baltic Region, covering seven floors of exhibition space, lecture halls, an education centre and auditorium. On short breaks in Tallinn, you can view a large collection of obscure Estonian fine art dating from the 18th century right up to the present day. It covers famous works from the Pallas School of Estonian art and a comprehensive collection of Soviet era paintings from both local and Russian painters.
