Naples Weather

Naples weather – Perfect summers!
Naples enjoys a Mediterranean climate making it the perfect place for a weekend break. It’s not hard to see why Roman emperors flocked just south of Naples to the Amalfi coast; the summers in Campania are lovely and hot with plentiful sunshine. The weather is ideal for spending time on the beach but the city’s beautiful landscaped parks and gardens are a welcoming, and relaxing, environment to while away the hours.

Naples Weather - The best time to visit
June to September is particularly warm: average temperatures can reach a balmy 29C in July and August. Summer is a time when Neapolitans go outside! From the bustling street cafes, food outlets and markets to the narrow lanes, historic monuments and exotic plants from around the world in the stunning botanical gardens landscaped by Joseph Bonaparte 200 years ago, unwinding in Naples is the perfect short break.

Naples Weather - Relax in Winter
A short weekend break in Naples doesn’t have to be exclusively outdoors. The old windy streets and the multitude of churches provide more than adequate cover during the wetter months of November and December. The average temperature in the cooler months is still a comfortable 8C. In the unlikely event of a downpour, the city’s miles and miles of catacombs, cisterns and tunnels below the city streets provide perfect shelter.
