Parliament of Budapest (Budapest)

Located along the banks of the river Danube is Hungary’s grand Parliament Building, which has been the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary for over a century. Inspired by London’s Palace of Westminster, it is designed in gothic revival style and is one of the Europe’s largest legislative buildings. It is a definite highlight for history buffs during cheap city breaks in Budapest, and offers up a variety of fascinating art and architectural features. Its sheer size speaks for itself. There are almost 700 rooms connected by over 12 miles of corridors and at its centre is a huge 100 metre high central dome.
