If you have the luxury of avoiding the school holidays, we recommend spring and autumn as the best time to visit Pisa. March, April and May can experience temperatures as high as 20º and 7 hours of sunshine! September, October and even November can be delightful, with bright, warm sunny days and far fewer tourists in the streets. This is a lovely time to visit Pisa if you also plan to see a little of the famous Tuscany countryside. Both spring and autumn in Pisa will require a warm jacket for cooler evenings.

Winter is a fine time for museums, churches and romantic restaurants, and Pisa residents tend to look more kindly on visitors. Winter breaks in Pisa will need warm clothes and an umbrella.
