Singapore Weather

Singapore Weather - The most stable climate in Asia
Singapore is located just north of the equator giving it a decidedly tropical climate, yet has relatively stable weather patterns with very little variation in temperature through the year. It does vary somewhat from its Asian neighbours in that the distinction between dry and rainy seasons is much smaller and there is very little difference in either temperature or amount of rainfall month by month. Some heavy rainfall can occur every month of the year, although almost always brief. Sightseeing and sports can be enjoyed without worry all year round but humidity is high at any time.

Weather In Singapore - Guaranteed sunny skies
Summer months in tropical Singapore are unsurprisingly hot with temperatures likely to reach 32c on average. Up to 11 hours of sun can be enjoyed in July and August and evenings are warm and may be uncomfortable for some. Summer does see a lot of cloudy days in Singapore yet the temperature remain hot resulting in high humidity. The month of May sees very high humidity due to a combination of lack of wind and cloudy weather which will be uncomfortable for many people unused to the tropics. Wet weather in Singapore tends to occur more frequently in the afternoon with short sharp bursts of heavy rain and an hour or two of generally overcast skies.

Singapore Weather - Tropical winter sunshine
Singapore is just as vibrant in winter and sees as many if not more visitors at this time. This is especially true during the festive season and Chinese New Year celebrations. Singapore weather in winter remains hot and sunny with temperatures of 28c and a creditable 8 hours of sunshine each day. The wettest periods are in December and January and to a slightly lesser extent, April. These months however still see an average of over 20 days of uninterrupted hot sunshine. Extreme cold weather is unheard of in Singapore and sea temperatures are constant at around 18-22c all year round.
