Verona Weather

Verona Weather - Hot and cold!
Positioned between the rolling plains of the Veneto, the Dolomite Mountains and scenic Lake Garda, Verona enjoys a mild climate throughout the year. The most agreeable temperatures occur in spring and autumn, but this coincides with the rainiest months, so don’t forget to pack an umbrella. The temperate climate means that spring and autumn are normally warm and sunny and are more comfortable times to visit. During peak summer season, it can get very hot. The best period to visit, in regards to comfortable temperature, is April to June – although June has high rainfall – when the weather is sunny without being stifling, the countryside bursts into life with spring flowers, and the flood of summer tourism has yet to manifest itself.

Weather In Verona - Sizzling summers!
The city can be hot and humid in the summer months – mainly due to the proximity of Lake Garda. In July and August the humidity can create amazing evening storms. Average temperatures touch 30C in June, July and August, so regular drinks stops are advised, as well as suitable clothing and protection from the sunshine.

Verona Winter Weather - Cool and crisp
Winter daytime temperatures are cool, but January, February and March see the least rainfall, so there is a good chance of enjoying crisp days that are ideal for sightseeing. From December to February the weather is brisk and cold – regularly dipping below freezing – although it’s rarely grey and gloomy.
