The weather in Zurich is typically continental: hot sunny summers and cold winters. Distinct seasons with their own special atmosphere make Zurich an attractive proposition at any time of year. Many Zurich residents would suggest spring and autumn as the best time for a Zurich city break. The city receives far fewer visitors than summer, and the atmosphere is more relaxed. The first hint of spring arrives in February and March.
