Sightseeing
No single London city break can possibly hope to take in all the famous sights. The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Tower Bridge, London Zoo….the list goes on and on. Children love the Natural History and Science Museums in South Kensington. The British Museum is simply outstanding. And don’t forget the cultural feast on offer at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Few city break destinations worldwide offer such a complete and varied choice of shopping experiences. Serious shoppers will want to visit legendary department stores like Harrods, and famous streets like Regent Street, Piccadilly, Kings Road and Oxford Street. London is a paradise for specialist shops of every possible kind, from toy soldiers to reggae on vinyl. London’s famous street markets offer tremendous atmosphere and character. Markets like Camden, Portobello, Brick Lane, Spitalfields, Borough, Convent Garden and Greenwich are great fun, and offer an excellent insight into London’s neighbourhoods and social mix.
Entertainment
Whatever your interest you will find it in London. The capital has the country’s largest selection of popular and specialist cinemas, an incredible concentration of quality theatre, astonishingly successful musicals, terrific traditional pubs, and a live music scene perhaps only rivalled by New York, with everything from classical music and opera to rock, pop and jazz. London’s clubbing scene is quite extraordinary. Specialist nights of every description come and go. Parks & Neighbourhoods
Return visitors to London should explore London’s beautiful parks and strikingly distinct neighbourhoods.
