Amsterdam. The word is synonymous with hedonism, debauchery and tulips. Amsterdam’s laid-back vibe and 24-hour party atmosphere is a great incubator for a lively club scene. For pre-club drinking, head to the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal area, where there are a number of boisterous bars and small clubs including The Getaway, The Seymour Lounge and Club NL. Much of the nightlife in Amsterdam is to be found around the city’s main squares.
