Many of Stockholm's museums are closed on Mondays and generally operate opening hours of 10am -5pm with some staying open until 8pm during summer months. Stockholm's renowned produce markets operate from very early morning until around 4pm. The standard hours of operation for city centre bars and clubs is from 9am until 2am with a small number of vibrant establishments still serving revellers until 5am.
Tipping & Etiquette In Stockholm
Sweden is a particularly friendly nation where language barriers, especially in cosmopolitan Stockholm should present few problems to the UK visitor. Locals of all ages will no doubt wish to engage you in friendly conversation and are very polite. Restaurant bills are subject to a tax of 12% and many establishments may add a 10% service charge on top. Where this is not the case, tipping to an equivalent amount is expected.

Disabled Access In Stockholm
Stockholm is a compact and relatively flat city that makes travel with a wheelchair or the visually impaired reasonably hassle free. An increasing number of hotels now offer purpose built hotel rooms with wide access, lifts and disabled bathrooms. City bus services are not accessible for wheelchair users but there is a pre bookable transport service for the disabled. This is payable by the hour and can be arranged through most major hotels.
