Zurich Food & Drink
Zurich has perhaps the most cosmopolitan selection of restaurants in Switzerland and most palates should be catered for during a stay. Zurich Veal is among the most renowned culinary exports of the city and can be had on most local menus. A tender filet is served with asparagus, famous rosti potatoes and egg salad. Züpfe is a delightful fluffy bread that is both delicious and very versatile. Often served as a side with main meals it also makes a tasty dessert when filled with fruit compote such as blueberries or even cheese. A visit to the The Lindt & Sprüngli chocolate factory will highlight the rich heritage of chocolate making in Zurich and showcases some delectable confectionery. This is a visit that most people will find hard to resist especially with the opportunity to taste the goods and entrance is free.
