City Breaks in May - Take advantage of the bank holidays
May is a great time of year to travel for those of us who like to get away without using up too much holiday allowance at work. With two bank holiday weekends, you can get out of the country for a few days and enjoy a relaxing break. So where's best? Well why not try somewhere a little different on your next city break by heading outside of Europe to one of the nearby destinations that will dramatically change your view of the world.

May City Breaks - Head to Istanbul
Istanbul is one of the most spectacular destinations in the world for those who love architecture, history and a uniquely friendly culture that extends a warm hand to visitors as well as locals. You'll find that Istanbul, with its mosques, churches, modern architecture as well ancient cobbled streets will really satisfy your desire for a new experience. The Blue Mosque, nestled amongst the trees is Istanbul's most famous landmark and casts a spell over the city. It stands as a testament to Istanbul's place amongst the historical elite - standing on the border between the East and West. As well as being one of the most complete examples of Muslim architecture and stunningly beautiful too.

City Breaks in May – Moscow short breaks
Moscow is another example of the stunning variety on offer outside of Europe's traditional boundaries. You can expect to find a thriving city with some truly stunning sights. Visit St. Basils Cathedral with its domed spires or take a walk through the grounds of the Novodevichy Convent, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a heart-warming joy to behold. May is a great time to visit Moscow with temperatures beginning to warm but not yet reaching the sweltering summer climes.

Package city break deals are the best way to enjoy a cheap city break, however, if you're looking for something a little more luxury without the extra cost then look out for some of the three nights for the price of two deals available at some hotels.
