Guernsey Food & Drink

Seafood is unsurprisingly rich and varied with a speciality known as Ormer - a variety of abalone and spider crabs and lobster always ever present on seafood restaurant menus. Guernsey veal and lamb dishes are distinctive and delicious and bean jar, a cassoulet of pork and vegetables is an authentic dish worth sampling. Guernsey is best known for its cows and produces arguably the finest milk in the world. Dairy products such as smoked cheddar cheese, whipped cream and butter are highly prized around the world and are used to make some delectable local desserts and cakes.
