Krakow Weather
Krakow Weather - Mild sunshine and snowy winters
Situated in the far south of Poland, Krakow has a more extreme climate than the towns and cities, including Warsaw, that sit in the mainly low lying central region. Summers are both warmer and wetter with slightly harsher winters experiencing heavier snow cover for longer periods. Krakow weather has a fairly good record of sunshine annually which is rarely hot enough to disrupt a city break of sightseeing or outdoor sporting pursuits. Rain falls evenly throughout the seasons and visitors should plan for the possibility of wet weather whatever the time of year.

Krakow weather in summer will see a familiar pattern of several days of bright sunshine interspersed with a refreshing, brief shower which is common outside the months of July and August. Krakow Weather - Picturesque winter scenery
To the un-acclimatised visitor, Krakow winters may feel harsh and bitter and are certainly cold for long periods. Heavy snow is frequent and can cover the ground for up to 60 days each winter. Krakow is convenient for the eastern mountains where snow remains for several months and skiing can be enjoyed. Weather in Krakow has low winter rainfall due partly to the near freezing conditions and icy cold easterly winds will become uncomfortable for some visitors, although this is thankfully brief. Average daytime winter temperatures range from zero in January up to 3c in March and may receive 2 hours of sunshine each day.
