Las Vegas Tourist Attractions
A tranquil alternative to the bright lights is a rewarding day out at Red Rock Canyon. Just 15 miles away this scenic wilderness offers adventurous rock climbing and hiking in an awesome landscape of arid desert and sandstone. It is home to amazing wildlife such as coyotes, mountain lions and majestic golden eagles. It opens from dawn until dusk and costs just $5 per car.

Las Vegas Opening Hours
All major hotels and casinos are open 24 hours a day and there are many grocery stores and supermarkets operating round the clock. Away from the Strip opening times are more limited with independent shops and cafes closing around 9pm and many remain closed all day on Sundays. Bank opening times are from 10am until 4pm weekdays.
       
Las Vegas Food & Drink
The city doesn't really have its own indigenous cuisine but is basically a combination of Californian and Mexican style flavours. Las Vegas is also the birthplace of the all you can eat buffet. Dining out covers every conceivable style of cooking; a multitude of cookhouse style grills, Tex Mex and Italian eateries. One of its few local specialities includes Nevada corn cakes, a popular street snack.

Tipping & Etiquette in Los Angeles
Tipping is part and parcel of life in Las Vegas and nowhere is this more evident than in the gambling industry. Complimentary drinks are offered to all in casinos and it is customary to tip your cocktail waitress one dollar each time. Table dealers should also be rewarded for an enjoyable session and tipping here is usually proportionate to your success or lack of it. It is not uncommon for lucky punters to tip casino staff several hundred dollars.

Disabled Access in Las Vegas
Las Vegas should hold no fears for special needs visitors and literally everywhere is fully accessible. All resorts offer adapted accommodation and some even provide sight and hearing impaired gambling. Getting around is easy with all public buses featuring low floors and wheelchair spaces. Many taxi cabs have also been specially adapted and can be booked from any hotel lobby.
