Getting around Ljubljana

Ljubljana buses are regular and efficient. Buses run very frequently between 0500 and 2230. Over 20 Ljubljana bus routes serve the city centre and the suburbs. There is a limited night bus service. Pay the driver with the correct fare. Tickets are cheaper if tokens (žetoni) are bought in advance from newspaper kiosks. Day and week passes are available. Children under 4 travel free.

Taxis
Ljubljana taxis can be hailed on the street or at taxi ranks. Taxis can be booked by phone for important journeys. Ljubljana taxis are metered and very economical.
