Tipping & Etiquette in Murcia
Murcia mirrors most of Spain when it comes to tipping etiquette, where it is now a requirement by law to include service charges on all bills. This is usually between 10 and 15% but extra is very much appreciated and of course at your discretion. It's common to leave small change at bar and café tables and to round up any taxi fares by one or two Euros.

Murcia Food & Drink
There are many traditional Murcian dishes which have been adopted by other regions throughout Spain and it has some of the most interesting tapas in the country. Zarangollo - a bean omelette is one of the most recognisable and al ajo cabañil is also popular, made with rabbit, rice and garlic potatoes. Delicious seafood such as lobster and shrimp is presented in many inventive ways and for dessert try paparajotes, a dish of lemon leaves fried in crispy batter and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon.

Disabled Access in Murcia
Murcia has seen many improvements to disabled access in recent years as it becomes more popular with foreign visitors.  However there is a lack of public toilet facilities for the disabled in restaurants and public buildings. On a practical level, city streets are reasonably easy to negotiate with even and wide pavements and a large number of interesting central squares free of traffic. Popular attractions such as the Museo de Salzillo and the Cathedral have wide access and a series of ramps for wheelchairs.
