Seasonal festivals to enjoy, wonderful climate

The superb climate and open friendly atmosphere makes Perpignan one of the most relaxing year-round destinations in France. Peak summer sees very high temperatures and the cultural explosion of the month-long Les Estivales festival in July, whilst visitors in October can experience the renowned Jazz Festival, and early autumn sees the city celebrating the wine harvest in style. There is also the chance to explore the fascinating countryside of the Languedoc Roussillon region, visit extraordinary Cathar castles and enjoy the scenic coastline.
