Most major shopping malls and department stores are open until 8pm on weekdays and until 7pm on Saturdays. Small independent stores are likely to be open daily until 6pm, however across the city there is a multitude of 24 hour convenience stores for late night essentials. Banks in Toronto open weekdays until 4pm.     
                                                               

Tipping & Etiquette in Toronto
Service charges are rarely automatically added to a restaurant bill and a discretionary tip of 15% is normal and most locals give this directly to the waiting staff. Other areas for rewarding good service include hair salons, room service and taxi rides where 10% is considered generous.

Toronto Disabled Access
Modern Toronto is flat with low kerbsides and wide pavements that should not pose too many problems for getting around. Public transport is also accessible on the whole with ramps and lift access to underground platforms and most buses featuring low floors. There are numerous adapted hotel rooms for the disabled however options are limited for budget travellers.
