Getting from Bergerac airport…
Bergerac’s Roumanières Airport is 3 miles south of the city centre. The journey into town by taxi takes five minutes and costs around €7. By train from Paris, take the Bordeaux-bound TGV train from Paris Montparnasse station; the journey takes 3 hours, 30 minutes. From here, catch a connecting train to Bergerac (one hour).
Train
Bergerac has an SNCF station with regular services to Bordeaux and Sarlat-la-Canéda. The Gare St-Jean, near Bordeaux city centre, is served by the SNCF allowing a trip to Paris in 3 hours and offers connections to major European centres such as Lille, Brussels, Amsterdam, Cologne, Geneva and London. The Gare St-Jean is the major hub for regional trains (TER) operated by the SNCF to Arcachon, Limoges, Agen, Périgueux, Pau and Bayonne. The TGV also serves Toulouse and Irun from Bordeaux. Regular train service is provided to Nantes, Nice, Marseille and Lyon.
Walking
Bergerac is a small and compact place. As a result, most attractions are within easy walking distance.
Vehicle rental
