The Palmengarten
This beautiful park and botanical garden has been recently refurbished and all the historic greenhouses restored. The park has an expanded rock garden; surrounding the 1869 palm house is a beautiful rose garden and an exhibition hall for flower shows and other botanical exhibitions.
Tigerpalast
The most famous and popular cabaret in Frankfurt was founded by Johnny Klinke and Margarita Dillinger in the late 1980s. The show is presented in the blue-and-black theatre and features; a Mexican juggler, four Italian acrobats, an East Indian shadow puppeteer, three Russian acrobats, and a Ukrainian ballet artist.
Christmas Fair
Frankfurt is ideal for a christmas city break, the Christmas Fair is one of the most popular events of the year and runs from November 20 to December 23. Browse through the shops, sample some local food or take in the arts and crafts on sale.
Frankfurt Boat Tour
One of the best ways to see the city is on a sightseeing cruise along the Main River. The views of the city are incomparable. Tours range from half an hour to several days down to the Rhine. A spectacular addition to any list of things to do.
Liebieghaus
This sculpture museum is housed in an 1896 villa. Along with Bargello in Florence, it is one of the most important sites in Europe. The extensive collection includes objects from Renaissance Europe, ancient Egypt and classical Greece and Rome. Museum highlights include the small 8th century BC bronze horse and Roman copies of the Torso of Polycletus, Praxiteles’s Satyr, and Myron’s Athena.
Main Tower
Situated at the Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen, the Main Tower is the perfect spot to catch the amazing views over Frankfurt. The cityscape visible from the observation platform of this 54-story tower is simply breathtaking and on a clear day you can see for miles and miles.
