Malmo Tourist Attractions
Enjoy the crisp, fresh air at Malmo People's Park - a favourite spot for local families to enjoy leisure time together. It features open-air concerts, amusement grounds and botanical gardens, dancing pavilions, a puppet theatre and zoo. It is open until 12 midnight during the summer and general entrance is free to all. From the park you can glimpse the imposing Malmohus Castle - a 15th century fortress that houses two museums, art galleries and an aquarium and offers a full and rewarding day for all ages to enjoy. Admission is good value at 50SEK and 15SEK for children.

Malmo Opening Hours
Shopping can be enjoyed in Malmo from 9am until 4 or 5pm daily with the larger department stores often staying open until 8pm within the city centre. On Sundays there is a good selection of stores open albeit at much reduced hours and banking hours are from 9am -4pm during the week.           

Tipping & Etiquette in Malmo
No tip is required when eating out as all establishments are likely to already include a service and tax charge on bills. Any further gratuity is entirely at your discretion and always will be gratefully received. Taxis and help with baggage at the airport or hotel should be rewarded with a few Krona.

Malmo is renowned for its variety of fresh fish dishes such as crayfish, herring and wild salmon and traditional hearty meals like meat hash and salt pork casserole. Familiar Swedish meals of meatballs and kåldolmar minced meat and rice are still found on numerous restaurant menus yet global cuisine is extremely popular in the city especially Italian and Thai food. City centre restaurants are typically cosmopolitan and many offer an inventive fusion of flavours and very good value for Swedish standards.

Disabled Access in Malmo
Malmo has a good range of modern hotel accommodation with larger establishments offering specially adapted rooms for those with mobility problems. Eating out is relatively easy with most restaurants and bars located at street level and offering uncluttered dining areas. There are special lifts and seats for wheelchair passengers on all mainline trains and a good proportion of bus routes can accommodate the disabled, along with many private hire adapted taxi minivans.
