Copenhagen Tourist Attractions
The art galleries and museums of Copenhagen typically open daily from 10am - 5pm with usually one night per week offering late viewing until 10pm. The Museum of Modern Art is one such example and costs DKK 60.00. Several attractions have free entry for visitors including the inspiring National Museum - the largest exhibition space in Denmark, which also has daily English language tours.
Copenhagen Opening Hours
Copenhagen business and retailers operate similar opening hours to much of Western Europe with shops open from around 9am until 6pm Monday to Saturday. Sunday is generally a day of rest, although the first Sunday of each month sees the majority of stores open with reduced hours. Most city centre banks and post offices are open Monday - Friday between 9.30am and 5pm however branches at airports and train stations offer extended hours including weekends.
Copenhagen Food & Drink
A short break to Copenhagen should include at least one visit to a cosy local cafe for traditional fayre such as hearty meat-and-potato hash or Danish meatballs and red cabbage, all served in ample portions and good value. Fresh salmon and herring, pheasant and roast duck are featured on many bistro menus accompanied by pickled vegetables and a light sauce. Local Copenhagen brews are famous throughout the world and a refreshing glass of Tuborg or Faxe pilsner will compliment any delicious meal.

Tipping & Etiquette In Copenhagen
Service charges are likely to be added to a restaurant bill so no further tipping is necessary. You may wish to leave extra for outstanding service and tips are included in the cost of a taxi fare. A few Krone to your hotel concierge or tour guide will be very much appreciated but is certainly not obligatory. The Danes are famously informal and relaxed and initial greetings will involve a smile and firm handshake. Even new acquaintances will address themselves using their first name only. If invited into a Copenhagen home it is customary to bring a small gift - a simple box of chocolates or fresh flowers will suffice.  ~
